1. Overview
ANICO ("we", "our", "the app") provides an anime discovery and streaming experience for Android. This policy explains what we collect on our marketing website and in the mobile app, and how we use it. By using the website or app, you agree to this policy.
2. Website (this site)
- Analytics events: We may record anonymous page views and download button clicks (path, event type, timestamp) in Firebase Firestore to measure interest and improve releases. We do not use third-party ad trackers on this landing page.
- APK downloads: When you download the Android package, your browser or CDN may log standard connection metadata (IP, user agent). We do not require an account to download.
- Cookies: This site uses minimal client storage for Firebase configuration. We do not sell personal data from the website.
3. Mobile app
- Local data: Watch progress, continue watching, downloads queue, and settings may be stored on your device.
- Account (optional): If you sign in, we use Firebase Authentication and Firestore to sync profile-related features you enable. Email and account identifiers are processed by Google Firebase under their terms.
- Streaming: Video is delivered from third-party sources; we do not host anime files on our servers. Playback may send standard requests to those providers.
- Push notifications: If enabled, Firebase Cloud Messaging stores a device token to deliver announcements you opt into.
- Live presence / admin analytics: While watching, anonymized or pseudonymous session signals (e.g. title, episode, country region, device id) may be used for app health and admin dashboards—not for selling data to advertisers.
4. Legal bases & retention
We process data to provide the service, secure accounts, fix bugs, and comply with law. We keep data only as long as needed for those purposes or as required by law. You may request deletion of account-linked data where applicable.
5. Children
ANICO is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal data.
6. Your rights
Depending on your region, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal data. Email support@anico.app with your request.
7. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
